Guilty feelings

Couples usually feel guilty when they leave baby with Grandparents for a trip out with partner or friends. It only has to be for an hour, so you can work it around feeding. I was a little reluctant when my baby was first born, but my Mum and mother-in law were brilliant, they used to just pop in and take her off me for an hour.

I never went out to start with, I used to use the time to have a relaxing bath and pamper myself. After a month or so, I took a trip to the hairdressers. If they hadn't been so positive with me, I wouldn't have left her. The guilty feelings were still there, but I knew that she was in very good hands and that they were enjoying having her as well. I still have guilty feelings of leaving her even now when she is 11.
